Trump on 9/11: He Got This One Right

The media (left, right, and center) did a great job of persuading the American people to believe the notion that Muslims cheering on 9/11 was absolutely preposterous. Just after Donald Trump announced that he saw ‘thousands’ of Muslims cheering as the two towers collapsed, the media attacked him and declared him an absolute liar.

In the following video from a CBS affiliate in New Jersey, reports and video show that there were Muslims celebrating in New Jersey and that they may have even known about the attacks beforehand:

Marco Rubio was one of the first to proclaim that Muslims cheering in New Jersey was not true.

“It’s not true and there’s plenty of fact-checks to prove that it isn’t,” Rubio said.

Along side of Rubio was Jeb Bush.  Bush said that he only knew of Muslims who were "angry and sad" about the events that had taken place.  Bush went on to say that Trump "doesn't know what he's talking about and he's not a serious leader."

Bernie Sanders said that Trump adds to the growth of Islamaphobia with his comments.

With all of the great and terrible things that Trump proclaims, whether true or not, why did we all of the sudden vilify him for saying that he saw Muslims cheering in New Jersey on 9/11? Whether we like Trump or not, there is evidence that Muslims throughout America celebrated on September 11, 2001. Just not mentioning that fact because it is culturally insensitive is one thing, but to berate someone who is speaking the truth can lead to systemic problems of what reality is and what it is not.
