I really appreciate lighthearted campaign ads. That said, I'm not sure what to make of the latest out of Carly Fiorina.
I'm laughing.... but... demon sheep?

Fiorina's demonic sheep smear is reflective of what she did in the corporate world where she crossed the line and was forced out getting 21 million to leave after losing 60% of her company stock's Share Price. She insulted Sarah Palin and now attacks Tom Campbell violating Ronald Reagan's Golden Rule "thou shall not speak ill of any fellow Republican". Fiorina was named one of the Worst 20 American CEO's of all time. Why should conservatives support one of the worst CEO's of all time who lost 60% of the company's value while its main competitor's stock rose nearly 10%. (see Wikipedia)

That ad was pretty tasteless. And, the whole "wolf in sheep's clothing" thing has been way over-used lately. The true wolves hiding as sheep must be snickering.
moderateguy, your post at 1:34 PM about the "unconscious state" was hilarious!

My wife was doing a crossword puzzle the other day and asked me about a clue: "Unconscious state". I said "California".

It was skillfully crafted and funny. Not sure if it's intellectually convincing.
I feel either pity or envy for the guy in the demon sheep costume. 'Great, you want to volunteer for the campaign! Put on this sheep costume and crawl around in that field over there while we record it.'

In so many ways. Sheep are followers and easily herded. We all know the kind of people who swallow the rightwing talking points without question or research are sheeple. So, even though Carly Fiorna is no different than the rest of the craven GOP leadership, it's interesting that she'd chose to make this about sheep and that long-extinct notion of "fiscal conservativism".

California politics meets Lord of the Rings? No one will forget this ad to be sure. Decent message, but questionable anybody will take the message seriously rather than thinking, "Man! That was whack!"
