Baby Joseph To Be Treated in the United States
Life News is reporting that Joseph Maraachli (Baby Joseph) has been removed from London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario, where doctors were poised to remove his breathing tube. He was moved to the SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, in St. Louis, MO, late Sunday night.

Father Frank Pavone, of Priests for Life, facilitated the transfer. "He needs to be in a hospital that cherishes life over the bottom line. After around-the-clock negotiations, this really became a race against time", he told Life News. "If there is a chance this boy can live, we have to explore every option."

Baby Joseph suffers from a progressive neurological disease which has left him in a vegetative state. He won't recover, but his parents are hoping that a tracheotomy will allow him to die peacefully at home, instead of violently choking in a hospital.
