Not surprising. After all, what are the odds of either one of her viewers winding up on Jeopardy? They try to screen their contestants for average or better aptitude which would automatically eliminate both of Rachel's viewers.

When George W. Bush went to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, he said, "We will rebuild New Orleans no matter how long it takes!"
Isn't that a socialist statement? Wasn't he suggesting that a redistribution of wealth take place? Where in the U.S. Constitution does it give the president the power to respond to a natural disaster? If a power is not explicitly given to the federal government then that power is left to the states. Long live the X Amendment!

I've met many Tea Party people who do not blame BP for the mess caused in the Golfo de Mexico, expected, and even demanded that the federal government clean up the mess caused by that foreign company. These Tea-Partiers say that since the federal government regulated BP and gave BP a license to drill then the lease-holder is responsible. But let's take a closer look.
An automobile driver gets a state government driver's license, and obtains an automobile state inspection sticker and a certificate of registration. It looks like the state government has given this automobile its seal of approval forever and ever to do what automobiles do. (or until the registration and license expires)

Now let's say the owner of the car does some texting while driving and hits a van filled with nuns and everyone in the van gets killed. I say the driver is responsible. I gave this scenario to a Tea Partier and he told me that the government was responsible because the automobile got a clean bill of health from the government.
Can't we say this Tea-Partier should be called a collectivist and a statist?

I am a strict Constitutionalist! Many Tea-Party people say they are too. If a power is not explicitly given to the federal government, then it's a power left to the states.
Many Tea Party people say Obama did not do enough to fix the BP oil disaster. I say, he did too much! Can someone point out to me where in the U.S. Constitution that the federal government is responsible for cleaning up oil spills?
The U.S. Constitution clearly says oil disaster is for the states to deal with. The federal government has no responsibility or power granted by the aforementioned constitution to get involved at all.

When Tea Partiers whined that Obama had not done enough to fix the BP oil disaster, then they should rightly be called statists!
AND YES, the lease stipulated that all damages be paid for by BP
It's time for the tread to hit the pavement.

The Obama was giving BP environmental waivers right up till the explosion. 2 months before the explosion, the government knew that there were problems with that well. They did nothing. BP was a big contributor to Obama's campaign.
It's time for knowledge to hit your mind.

The states would have done a better job. They would have allowed all of those foreign vessels, with ten times the capacity of ours, in to help out. They wouldn't have been held for fear of upsetting the unions. The federal government wouldn't have been able to stop the states from implementing their own plans, such as creating sand barriers. The states would have called for equipment from around the country. The stinking feds really screwed it up. But what else is new there?

Maddow is all-sludge, all the time. I wouldn't watch that trash if you paid me.
Most LIBs are disgraceful, intolerant haters like Maddow. If you are not an extreme leftist who lines up on all of the issues like they do, then you are slimed, trashed, mocked and demonized. By the same token, there are those on our side who do the same thing. If you don't fall right on down the line with THEIR way of thinking, then they trash and dismiss you, call you names, etc...
The rational middle is the unheard voice in all of this. When some on our side show rationality or "fairness" on a certain issue or about what constitutes liberty, then they are slimed by the "far-right" nuts as "liberal".

This Republican-controlled Congress voted to shore up the National Flood Insurance Program to the tune of $10 billion dollars. It's nothing but a redistribution of wealth from America's taxpayer's to millionaires with million dollar beachfront homes. This program is godless and immoral.

Here's a partial list of so called 'small government, free market' Republicans that voted to send taxpayer's monies to millionaires with million dollar beach front homes.
John Boehnor(R)
Eric Cantor(R)
Michele Bachmann(R)
Paul Ryan(R)
Allen West(R)
Daryl Issa(R)
Louis Gohmert(R)
Jeb Hensarling(R)
Dan Burton(R)
Michael Grimm(R)
Steve King(R)
Duncan Hunter(R)
Spencer Bachus(R)
Votes gleaned from http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2011-562
If this country has oodles of money to send to millionaires with million dollar beach front properties, then why worry about food stamps to those below the poverty line?

One of my favorite TV moments was when Phil Donough asked Kathern Hepburn for an autograph on her new book and she turn to Phil and said, "Certainly, what is your name?" Phil almost collapsed with wide eyes muttering that he's been on TV for twenty five years... and.......Kathern held her composure while she autographed the book, priceless as they say.

You're absolutely right. Not long ago I saw one of those "man in the street" clips with someone going round asking people to identify the vice president from a list of names. While I know they pick the responses to air, it was nonetheless telling that several people (people who drive cars, have jobs and can vote) identified Romney and Paul.
