Report: Gaddafi Personally Ordered Lockerbie Bombing

He's the nutcase who's ordering the bombing of his own cities, sabotaging his nation's energy supply, and vowing to die a martyr.  Now, a former Libyan government official says he has proof that Mommar Gaddafi also

personally ordered the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 270 innocents:

Swedish tabloid Expressen says Libya's recently resigned justice minister claims Moammar Gadhafi personally ordered the Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people in 1988.

Expressen quotes Mustafa Abdel-Jalil as telling their correspondent in Libya that "I have proof that Gadhafi gave the order about Lockerbie." The comments were translated from Arabic to Swedish.

Abdel-Jalil stepped down as justice minister to protest the violence against anti-government demonstrations.

If true, this is huge news.  It would also supply even more egg to be smeared all over the British government's face.  Under the previous Labour government, the Brits infamously released Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi on "humanitarian" grounds, following a diagnosis that he would die of cancer in a matter of weeks.  That was in August, 2009.  Megrahi is still alive

today.

A subsequent report revealed that the UK pushed hard for Megrahi's release, apparently to grease the skids for an oil contract with with the Libyan government -- the very regime that may have ordered the bombing in the first place, and that greeted Megrahi has a national hero upon his return to Tripoli.

One can only imagine the horror and rage Lockerbie victims' families are experiencing today.  This is an ongoing disgrace.

UPDATE: As Fox Nation notes, President Obama has heretofore remained silent on Gaddafi's butchering of civilians in Libya.  Thankfully, he did find time to congratulate Rahm Emanuel on his election win.

UPDATE II:  Repulsive footage of Megrahi's grand entrance in 2009:
