Ed Rollins: Ron Paul "Will Win Iowa"

On Tuesday afternoon, Fox News political analyst and former member of the Reagan administration Ed Rollins projected that Congressman Ron Paul will win the Iowa caucuses on January 3. Not surprisingly, given his long and distinguished career as a political observer, Rollins’ assertion is making headlines and creating buzz in Republican circles. Ron Paul, he explained, will not win the GOP nomination – but his strong grassroots presence and devote following will give him the edge he needs to pull off an upset victory in the Hawkeye State. Moreover, given Newt Gingrich’s precipitous drop in the polls lately, as well as Mitt Romney’s own admission that he never expected to win the Iowa Caucuses, the retiring Texas Congressman may indeed surprise us all.
