ORIGINAL POST

A new report suggests that President Trump is going to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He is currently on his way to the White House.

This comes soon after a new report that suggested Rosenstein wanted to secretly record Trump in the spring of 2017 shortly after the firing of FBI Director James Comey. Rosenstein strongly denied the report. Trump was asked about Rosenstein's future in the administration during an interview on "Fox & Friends" Monday.

“We will make a determination," Trump said. "It’s certainly a very sad story.”

Rosenstein had been overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation because Attorney General Jeff Sessions had recused himself from the probe. With Rosenstein's exit, solicitor general Noel Francisco would oversee the investigation.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
