The Difference Between the US and Russia

For anyone who might see still be taking a "moral equivalence" approach toward Russia and its dealings in the world (see, for example, Barack Obama's statement after the Russian invasion of Georgia

), the news out of Poland is revealing.

Along with hosting elements of a global anti-missile shield in conformity with US wishes, Poland is also looking for assurances of US help and friendship -- including a permanent US base in Poland as a symbolic gesture.

Get it now, moral equivalence gang? Free people seek a US presence . . . and fear a Russian one. What does that tell you?
