Donald Trump Jr: Cruz Can't Win Without "Bribing Delegates"

During an interview with CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Donald Trump Jr. said that the only way for Ted Cruz to secure the Republican nomination by July, would be for him to sway uncommitted delegates towards his cause.

"You know Ted Cruz has no chance of winning this without bribing the delegates. That’s his game at this point. He’s mathematically eliminated but that’s his from day one he’s not appealing to the voters," Trump said.

"He’ll lose more states than Mitt Romney. Because I can’t name a single state that Mitt lost that Ted can possibly win. So I think at this point the Republican establishment would much rather just hand the things over to Hillary, hand the reins over to her and let her run it. Because guess what? There’s no accountability in the party. You lose, it doesn’t matter. You win, okay, great, you win. Everyone’s in on the same thing. All their job is to do is to protect the little cliques they formed to keep the paychecks rolling from special interests and the same thing with the delegate process we’re seeing today.”

Ironically, just hours later, Ted Cruz announced that he and fellow Republican presidential candidate John Kasich would commence their formulated plan to prevent Donald Trump from winning the election.

They said late Sunday night that they were coordinating their efforts in three upcoming primary states to prevent Republican front-runner Donald Trump from clinching the GOP nomination before this summer's convention.

In a pair of statements, the campaigns announced that Kasich would pull out of Indiana to give Cruz an easy victory that state's winner-take-all primary May 3, while the Cruz campaign will cede Oregon and New Mexico to Kasich.
