Mike Pence for 2020?

Pence’s decisive win in the VP debate seems to be giving him more than a pat on the back by the GOP. According to a newly released poll following his debate, the Indiana governor now tops the list of potential Republican candidates for 2020 should Trump lose this November.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll shows Pence topping the list at 22 percent of support. Trump and Speaker Ryan follow with 13 percent support, Ted Cruz at 12 percent, and then Marco Rubio right behind with 11 percent.

Another interesting thing to note for the Pence lovers: about one-third of current Trump supporters would rather see Pence at the top of the presidential ticket for this current election.

It seems the governor really won over some hearts after he shut Tim Kaine down in Farmville, Virginia.

Also, the junior senator from Arkansas may have not performed well in the hypothetical 2020 line-up, but that hasn’t stopped people from speculating what Tom Cotton’s actions will be if a Republican fails to retake the White House this year. Cotton will be campaigning throughout Iowa starting Saturday. He will make eight different stops and none of them will include a Trump rally.

Has the next race for the White House already begun?
