BREAKING: Michigan's Recount Is Over; Trump Still Won

Breaking tonight out of Michigan: A federal judge has lifted an order that allowed Michigan's recount to take place, meaning that the recount is effectively over. Donald Trump won Michigan by just over 10,000 votes; the slimmest margin in modern Michigan history.

Michigan wasn't officially called for Trump until two weeks after the polls closed. The state was one of three targeted for a recount by Green Party nominee Jill Stein, purportedly because the election had been meddled with. However, given that Michigan uses optical scan ballots, the chances of this happening were effectively none.

Trump is the first Republican to win Michigan since 1988.
