As Politico analyzed President Barack Obama’s political predicament, they offered several suggestions on how to proceed, with the third being, “Take the long view.”
Here's what Rand Paul did with his LollaPaulooza yesterday: He engaged the country in a serious discussion of first principles. You may not agree with him, but he did it. The Constitution was actually discussed on the Senate floor for more than a dozen hours. Incredible.
I leave the lovers' quarrel between Woodward and the White House to others. The fascinating thing is how many other rats have been willing to gang-up on Obama, suddenly, over sequestration and the rough-and-tumble stuff that Obama regularly practices with the press.
Over President's Day weekend, President Barack Obama took off for a mini-vacation in Florida. There, he participated in golf lessons with professional coach Butch Harmon -- Harmon normally charges $1,000 per hour, and Obama spent 8 hours with him -- and then he took to the links with disgraced golf icon Tiger Woods. The press was not allowed to cover any of this first-hand.
It is not often that members of the liberal national media admit their biases. Americans know that the media is not impartial and that objectivity is not a priority when reporting on current events. Americans need and deserve a balanced media.

In what was designed to be a modern day re-play of the Lincoln-Douglass style debate, Newt Gingrich reinforced he’s the best candidate in the GOP field with what appears to be the slimmest odds of capturing the nomination. Newt not only was knowledgeable of the issues but gave practical solutions for solving the country’s problems. Conversely, Cain repeatedly abdicated first responses to questions to Gingrich and kept agreeing with Newt’s answers.
"God helps those who help themselves" is not in the Bible, Carney. Sorry about that.
By spending the last three decades leveling accusations of "racism" every 10 seconds, liberals have made it virtually impossible for Americans to recognize real racism -- for example, the racism constantly spewed at black conservatives.
I haven't got a clue what happened or didn't happen while Herman Cain was CEO of the National Restaurant Association. There appear to be fewer than a dozen people -- the two women and their lawyers, the general counsel and whoever produced the paperwork at the association, the people who wrote and signed the checks, and Herman Cain -- who do know, and as of this writing none of them are talking. So, let's put aside what, if anything, Cain did wrong.
Ask yourself: If similar accusations were aimed at any liberal candidate would the mainstream media, aside from condemning the charges, give them much publicity? Ask Paula Jones, harassed by the media for daring to accuse President Clinton of sexually abusing her. They smeared her mercilessly.
