Lindsay Lohan Takes to Twitter to Defend President Trump and the First Family

President Donald Trump has earned himself an unusual defender on Twitter: actress Lindsay Lohan.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star - who now resides in London - chose to spend her Independence Day weekend sticking up for our country’s President.

Replying to a Trump supporter’s tweet, Lohan asked users to “stop the bullying and start trusting him [Trump].”

Shortly after, Lohan tweeted her support of the entire First Family, calling Donald, Ivanka, Melania and Donald Trump Jr. “kind people.”

While some praised the former Disney star for defending Trump and his family…

…others used the tweets as an opportunity to take a few jabs at Lohan and rehash her not so pretty past.

Like many other celebrities, Lohan was a Hillary Clinton supporter during the 2016 election. However, when her candidate lost, the actress put party politics aside and got behind our new president.

During a live video on Facebook back in February, Lohan told viewers, “He is the president – we have to join him. If you can't beat him, join him."

Who knew we’d need Lindsay Lohan to teach Americans about civility and patriotism?
