Obama hits two fundraisers as crucial quarter ends

President Obama is set to head to Philadelphia for two events organized by the Democratic National Committee Thursday, the same day the first major and closely-watched fundraising quarter of the 2012 presidential campaign cycle draws to a close.

The president will first deliver remarks at a fundraising bash at the Hyatt in the early evening before attending a second event at an undisclosed private residence. Neither the Obama campaign nor the DNC has said how much cash they are expecting Thursday’s set of fundraisers to generate.
