President Obama has now transformed the United States into an official “state sponsor of terrorism” a designation, that when applied to other countries, means no aid, no trade, you are now an adversary of the U.S. and her allies. It remains unclear how Obama’s actions will affect our ability to trade with ourselves as a nation.

On June 9, President Obama announced a $400 million aid package to the West Bank and Gaza, which are currently two separate entities; the West Bank under the control of Mahmoud Abbas, a moderate by radical Islamic standards, and Gaza, which is run by the democratically-elected Islamic Resistance Movement, better known as the terrorist group Hamas.

When announcing this “aid package” to Gaza, Obama must have held his breath, hoping that Abbas’s physical presence at the White House would somehow confer – in the media’s mind – a smidgen of Abbas’s moderation on the radical terrorist group Hamas. This was a clear and bold attempt to avoid scrutiny while handing over Americans’ money directly to a terrorist organization that has murdered American citizens.

Rush Limbaugh

Whatever else you can say about Obama, at least he never forgets his friends. Thanks to the investigative work of Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs, we know that in 2007, Obama’s campaign received over $30 Thousand in illegal donations from Hamas-controlled Gaza.

Curious is the timing of Obama’s announcement. Israel had just taken action against ships attempting to break its blockade of Gaza, put into place specifically to stop the flow of weapons and war supplies that Hamas uses to attack Israel and its citizens. None of Obama’s supposedly “cool, detached, and deliberate” decision-making prowess was in evidence, as he rushed to join the rest of the Islamic world in condemning Israel for taking action to defend itself against terrorists. Terrorists who have not only killed Americans and Israelis, but who have explicitly declared their intention to drive the Jews right into the Mediterranean Sea.

The United States has, since 2001, listed Hamas as a “Specifically Designated Global Terrorist.” In the world community – or what passes for it – this is supposed to mean that the penalties for providing support to a SDGT are harsh.
