If there’s one thing Democrats care about more than anything else, it’s their hold on power. What’s the point of loving various radical agenda items if you cannot force them on a public that does not want them? It would be like being Stalin alone in your bedroom – what good is power if you can’t impose your will on people? That’s why headlines like “Democrats fear that Biden’s Israel-Hamas war stance could cost him reelection in Michigan,” from Reuters come as no surprise to people who pay attention to how the left operates. Outrage is a one-way street for the left, and that way is only in the direction that helps them at any given moment.
Reuters reports, “The situation has prompted the White House to discuss ways to alleviate tensions with some of the state’s prominent Democrats, including several who have been vocal critics of the president about the war.” Any Democrats express no concern about what is the right thing to do – stand with Israel against the terrorists – it’s all about what will help them hold on to power. It’s gross, really, but not surprising.
I grew up in Michigan and lived in Dearborn throughout college. Even though I’m not a Jew, I know well the feelings of some of the people who live there in Israel. Not really great. It's not uniform, but the majority, for sure.
So, the concern that Democrats might lose votes from a heavily Democrat voting bloc isn’t a surprise. What is surprising is how open they are about that being their priority. The anti-Israel sentiment in Dearborn is not based on policy differences; it’s based on the fact that Israel, and therefore Jews, exist. Sure, it’s an abstract since they’re half a world away, but it is hatred, pure and simple. That Democrats and the White House are attempting to find ways to pander to people who hold those anti-Semitic views tells you everything you need to know about them and their priorities.
It's why we’re already seeing a change in rhetoric from the President, hunting supporting the idea of a ceasefire. It was always only a matter of time – progressives have always hated Jews – but the speed with which the shift is happening is shocking.

The White House announced the “first-ever National Strategy to counter Islamophobia” this week. Why? Where is the “surge” in Islamophobia? Are gangs of college students chasing Muslims around campus? No. Are they even shouting down pro-terrorist speakers and tenured professors? Nope. This is a “solution” in search of a problem, or more accurately, a PR stunt meant to stop the hemorrhaging of support from people who have taken a position siding with paragliding terrorists.
Make no mistake, this vocal group is a minority of the Muslim population, but they’re not insignificant. And they’re so open with their anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism that they fear no repercussions from it. It’s not like they’re suburban parents expressing displeasure with their kindergarteners being taught to change their gender and advocate for physical castration; those people are domestic terrorists. These are just “kids” calling for the extermination of the Jews because they think they’re colonizing a country that never existed. Reality can be wildly inconvenient sometimes, especially for Democrats.
What’s most bizarre or hypocritical, whichever you prefer, is how the left is trying to distract people from noticing they are the party of hate and anti-Semitism.
Vice, the slowing going out of business left-wing rag, exemplifies how they’re doing this – blaming “white nationalists.”
“Neo-Nazis are showing up at pro-Palestine protests in an attempt to push anti-Jewish conspiracy theories and tropes into the mainstream,” Vice tweeted. “Here’s what you need to know about them.”
“The presence of these groups, like the white nationalist and antisemitic National Justice Party, at protests shouldn’t be seen as an indication that there is some ideological kinship between them and the wider pro-Palestine movement,” Vice said. Ever heard of the National Justice Party? Me neither. But if they hate Jews, they have a very specific kinship with “the wider pro-Palestine movement” because that’s the basis of it. “Neo-Nazis have used growing anger against the Israeli government as an opportunity to spew antisemitic and anti-immigrant conspiracy theories, launder them into the mainstream, and drive recruitment. Fringe extremist groups are opportunists and will leap at any chance to insert themselves into popular movements.”
It's not the “fringe” when they’re speaking from the stage. It’s not the “fringe” when they’re organizing the event and leading the chants. It’s not the “fringe” when they’re tenured law review professors and editors. It’s not the “fringe” when they’re hosts on MSNBC and leading Democrats in government.
Does anyone else find it odd that just a couple of years ago, saying “All lives matter'' was just this side of a hate crime because random criminals or junkies died while resisting arrest, but now saying you “care” about lives on both side of this conflict is the closest those very same people will come to conceding that Jewish lives matter at all? They can’t bring themselves to care about the innocent people minding their own business who were butchered by monsters who called their parents to brag about murdering them. Still, they will beat the hell out of a Jewish person on the other side of the planet because Israel fired back against a subhuman terrorist who’d Velcroed children their parents willingly gave them to their chest.
Suddenly, all lives matter.
I'm curious how the people kept up at night by the piercing sound of racist “dog whistles” haunting their dreams. I miss that one every single time.
Democrats won’t even support aid to Israel unless it’s attached to money for Ukraine, which has gotten more than $100 billion with little to show for it and even less accountability. The White House even issued a veto threat against a stand-alone Israel aid package, something they’d never even consider doing if the House passed a stand-alone Ukraine bill. One wets the beaks of the elite in Washington and around the world; the other helps Jews fight a voting bloc Democrats are terrified of losing while every beak remains dry. Do you see the patterns here?
None of this is by accident. The people who describe their jobs as “speaking truth to power” would never bother to ask these questions or point out this hypocrisy. They’d have to care to do that, and the only place less hospitable to Jews than the tenured faculty lounge is the newsroom.
I hear you asking, “What about Jewish editors or publishers?” You must remember that progressives are progressives first, anything else a distant second. That is and always will be true. The people organizing the camps never think they’ll end up in them. Most do, eventually, but not at first, no matter the criteria for them. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and every other progressive leftist dictator loved few things more than a good purge, the elimination of adamant supporters who got too cocky or comfortable and put themselves on the same level and the agenda. Very few people actually plotting against evil leaders were purged; they were sent off before they had the chance. And they were believers right up until the bullet hit the wall they were stood up against.
Democrats have no principles other than the drive for their own power if that counts. They’ll use kids – turning them against parents, using positions of power and trust to groom children against their own families by convincing them somehow God or nature made a mistake while assembling their bodies – they’ll use race – the party of the KKK. Anyone? – they’ll use religion – how many “churches” fly various forms of progressive seizure-inducing flags but won’t fly an American one? – they will use anything. It’s important, and necessary to point this out every chance you get.
Lindsey Burke of the Heritage Foundation put it perfectly in regards to a story in the Washington Post lauding “Four progressive teachers in Washington’s Mukilteo School District wanted to protect students from a book they saw as outdated and harmful. The blowback was fierce,” when she pointed out, “When progressives want to debate a book's appropriateness, it is to ‘protect students.’ When conservatives question the age appropriateness of pornographic material, it's ‘banning.’”
It's that way with everything, and it has to be called out each and every time. It won’t stop them; it’s how they are, but it will eventually hurt them at the ballot box. And that’s really the only fight that matters at this point.
