Here are some other highlights and headlines that I noticed over at Ransom Notes Radio:
Nancy Pelosi (that brilliant star from the independent Soviet Republic of San Francisco) said we should look to Qatar for advice on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. “Qataris have told me Hamas is a humanitarian organization,” Pelosi explained. Right… And Nazi’s were just socialists dressed in Hugo Boss.
Russia has violated an arms treaty and tested a new type of cruise missile. Obama’s response was to send a letter to Putin (not joking). Future ramifications might include a new hashtag campaign, blocking Putin on Facebook, or angry text messages late at night.
Salon ran a story entitled: The “Ted Cruz is smart” trap: Why this garbage is false — and dangerous. Right… It’s ridiculous to call Cruz smart. On the other hand: calling the genius who thinks he can legislate with a pen and a phone ‘articulate’ because he can read from a teleprompter without stuttering… well, that makes perfect sense.
The horror! A white person was hired to teach cultural studies (gasp!) in Fresno. According to people who object to some middle-class white person teaching the class, the school “needs teachers who reflect the ethnic and racial background of its students.” I thought Democrats dropped the whole “separate but equal” thing in the mid-sixties.
A bunch of left-leaning Israelis gathered in a public square in Tel Aviv to protest Israel’s military operations in Gaza. Their protest was cut short by a rocket attack launched from Gaza… Thousands of Leftist Israelis suddenly understand the concept of irony.
I know this seems shocking, but it looks like John Kerry has undermined pretty much all of our Middle East allies in his attempt to get a ceasefire negotiated… Heck even Joe Biden probably would have been a better guy to send into the area than Kerry. Joe would have at least told Israel to go buy adouble-barrel shotgun, or something.
