Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

He’s a rock-solid social and fiscal conservative and is pals with Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.  If he were on the ticket, it might placate conservative heavy hitters just enough to call off the dogs.

He’s a former minister and is 100 percent pro-life, pro-family and pro-traditional marriage.  This is a must for evangelical voters, who make up the preponderance of the GOP base.

Congressman Watts is young, vibrant, articulate and from the South (well, Southish).  He’s a former Oklahoma Sooners football star and, I believe, would appeal to conservatives both young and old.

Oh yeah, and J.C. Watts is African-American.  This might attract minorities whose values — especially on social issues — are more closely aligned with those of Watts than Clinton or Obama.

So, again, I’m not suggesting that J.C. Watts is the only potential running mate for McCain who might convince conservatives to poke his chad, or, for that matter, that any VP choice can.

But, since it’s the season for speculating about possible vice presidential candidates, I thought I’d go ahead and speculate.

WHY I'M HERE
I LISTEN TO CONSERVITIVE RADIO, AND I HAVE BECOME VERY MOTIVATED POLITICALLY AS I'VE ENTERED MY FORTIES. I FIRST HEARD JC WATTS SPEAK ON SEAN HANNITY'S RADIO SHOW, AND WAS CAPTIVATED BY WHAT I HEARD. MY THOUGHTS IMMEDIATLY FOCUSED ON THE SIMILARITIES AND THE STARK CONTRASTS OF CONGRESSMAN JC WATTS AND SENATOR OBAMA. I LISTENED TO EVERY WORD MR WATTS SAID, AND WAS TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY MEZMERIZED. HE IS A LEADER AMONG LEADERS AND HIS CONVICTION OF SPIRIT, INTELLECT, COURAGE, WISDOM, POISE, GRACE, TACT AND OVERALL CHARACTER ARE EVIDENT IN EVERY WORD HE SAYS. I DID A GOOGLE FOR JC WATTS IN HOPES THAT I COULD FIND A WAY TO CONTACT HIM AND TELL HIM HOW MUCH I ENJOYED HEARING HIM, AND ENCOURAGE HIM TO CONSIDER RE-ENGAGING IN THE POLITICAL ARENA, AND TO SET HIS SIGHTS ON THE WHITEHOUSE. IT'S A PLEASURE TO SEE THAT PEOPLE RECOGNIZE GREATNESS REGARDLESS OF COLOR.

GKR

I love it. The ELEPHANT in this room is,
of course, the fact that social conservatives have NO CANDIDATE that will listen to their wants & needs & fears & cater to this far right segment of the voting public.

The joke (for you social cons) is that John McCain is planning to woo & win over independants & republican & deomcratic moderates. He's fishing from the center, not from the edges. Unlike Matt Barber & Mike Adams, these moderates do not have irrational fears about "militant homosexuals" & "radical feminists" & "abortion on demand"-ists & the whole box of culture voodoo dolls the social cons trot out every election cycle.

I'm SO SORRY for your marginalization this election go round, social cons. I guess you simply did not pray hard enough to your heavenly father & he is punishing you. Now, maybe for the next 4 to 8 years we can shove you all back into your closet (there's room since the gays came out), lock the door & throw away the key.
