Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

And we haven't even begun to address the entire idea of nuclear energy expansion that could go across the continent heating, lighting, and keeping our homes safe at far lower costs. In places like Africa nuclear power would move villages that are barely surviving into healthy new conditions. Simply replacing the dung that some mothers are forced to cook with would guarantee a drop in the child mortality rate across much of the sub-Saharan portion of the continent. Yet for all of Barack Obama's insistence upon giving a condom to every person in Africa he seems utterly unmoved by the plight of children breathing the smoke of bovine excrement.

Some proponents of energy exploration have argued that we are running out of oil reserves. Yet any one who uses common sense wonders how that is so. Oil reserves are developed by the death and compression of carbon life-forms over the years. Forests, wildlife, marine life, and humans have not stopped dying - nor are they expected to anytime soon. Harvesting living energy supplies - like food - seems to be counter productive than harvesting energy supplies that in fact have already been "processed" naturally for our use. With our more advanced exploration capabilities we are also discovering that we are far - if it's even possible to be - from "running out of oil."

So what does it all mean?

Liberals have put into place legislation that restricts our ability to supply our energy needs for ourselves. They have prevented us from being able to refine the energy supply we obtain. They have prevented us from creating the most cost effective energy supply ever discovered (nuclear). And they appear more than happy to continue to tax the living daylights out of us on the energy we have to have in order to survive.

In short it is using dishonest messages to tax us more, taking the capital we earn for our families, to create a greater dependency on "them" to "solve our problems" for us. Can anyone say "backdoor Marxism?" Do you like your $5 per gallon gas?

Just do nothing... because letting the marxist left run our energy policy seems to be working out well for all of us!

Isn't it?

How RINOS Stopped ANWR in 2005
when the DC controlled BOTH Houses of Congress...

http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/2005111 0/NEWS/511100399/1134

Here's the real story of why ANWR never got passed by the GOP which was in control of both Houses of Congress in 2005. Blaming this exclusively on the ridiculous DEMS is distorting the truth. Once again 25 House RINOS including Florida's own Kathleen Harris and RINOS in the Senate like Mel Martinez shut it down. Spineless, Hapless Hastert caved to the RINOS in his own Politically Correct party because the GOP has been all about winning elections and abandoning its own principles. He never even brought it up for a vote; how politically clueless is this party??? He could have made political hay out of this in 2006 and preserved his party's integrity and hung this one on the DEMS but he never even took the chance of bringing it to a vote. ALso, if he had brought it to a vote, the AMERICAN PEOPLE could have seen firsthand how their local Congressman or Senator was shafting them and the nation and vote the RINO out in the next election. This is political daftness of the highest order.

Preposterous piece by McCullough
This is one of the most ridiculous posts I’ve ever seen. Blaming liberals for the increase in gas prices is absolutely absurd. Nice try, but only the weakest of minds would believe that. Republicans had Congress for twelve years and have had the White House for six years, so they could have done anything they wanted to do. Clearly, investing in alternative energy sources was not one of these. As for the increase in the price of oil: the price would decrease if production increased. Why hasn’t the current president “jaw-boned” OPEC as he said he would in 2000? Obviously the Saudis are not willing to help us, but what about Iraqi oil? Why is production there not increasing? Simple reason: the oil companies controlling the Iraqi oil fields there benefit from cutting off the supply. If you need a scapegoat, blame oil man Bush and Halliburton man Cheney with his (still) secret Energy Commission. Have the oil company representatives testify before Congress again, this time under oath.
