Will Congress pass Obamacare by the end of the year?

“. . . we need to conserve that bitter impulse that we have inherited from primitive man. It alone permits us the greatest luxury of all, the ability to enjoy a vacation from the human condition through an authentic, ‘immersion in Nature’ . . . and this, in turn, can be achieved only by placing himself in relation to another animal. But there is no animal, pure animal, other than a wild one, and the relationship with him is the hunt.” - Jose Ortega y Gasset.

Is anyone else out there in what’s left of traditional America sick of the election yet? This thing has become about as appealing to me as watching Carrot Top slowly work a stubborn booger loose from the side wall of his left nostril.

Not only has the election become tedious but it is also sad (and hilarious, if it wasn’t so scary) watching the Barack punch drinkers buy into the Obama camp’s hype that this guy is the black Jesus that America needs. Good God, folks. He’s a junior state senator from Chicago who has two more years experience than I do—and I’m not even running for president.

Listen, even though McCain ain’t my Mr. McDream candidate, he kills the boy wonder from an experience standpoint, and I’ll go with age and understanding over young Robin’s Rembrandt veneers any day.

He’s a simple little executive breakdown of our two candidates:

John McCain
Congress: 26 years
Military: 22 years
Barack Obama
Congress: 143 days
Military: 0

When I need a break from the Obama brainwashing and my daily grind of writing and hosting ClashRadio.com, not only do I drink six gallons of Ketel One, dance on tables in Greek restaurants, and chill with mi familia (as Obama would have us say), but I dream about and prepare for my next hunt. Unannounced Changes at WIND AM-Chicago
why did WIND Chicago drop Roy Masters and the ssecond hour of the Dennis Prather program? Does the "new Washington administration" own WIND too? The new voice on the radio is named Pincus. What a waste of airtime.

Hunting
Dear Doug;

Thank you for your article on hunting. I have to say that I agree with every word of it. My father and grandfather hunted with me and I am passing along that tradition to my son.

For the last four years my son and I have managed to get to the camp at least once a month in the off-season to work on the lanes or fish. During the season we are there every other weekend, except for Christmas which is spent at home.

Last year, after nothing but squirrels on his record, he managed to get his first deer. It was nearly dark when we spotted her and he took aim. I thought at first I had a PETA liberal on my hands when he kept saying he could not do it. I then asked him what the problem was and he said he could not see the deer. He was using a single shot .243 with a 4X scope. I then gave him my Remington 700 7mm Magnum with a 3 X 9 X 40 Nikon scope. Once he shouldered the rifle I said in a whisper, “Can you see her now?” The first response was the report and flash of the 7mm firing. The muzzle flash at that late dusk hour looked like a battleship going off. My son then said, “I got her, she dropped right there!!”

I asked him, “What was the problem?”

“My scope was too dark to make a good shot, yours is better than mine and I could see her better so I took the shot.” A true responsible hunter never takes a shot that my only wound the animal.

That evening he drove the 4 wheeler back to the camp with his prize on the front while I rode on the back fender.

This year he is getting a new scope.

The camp lets him spend time with me that is one on one. He also gets to know his godfather, my brother, better. It is something I had growing up and something I am happy I can provide for him.
Thanks for a great article and God Bless.
