Poll
Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

So the Democrats are hysterical in their attacks on her. South Carolina's Democratic Party chairwoman, Carol Fowler (wife of a national party chairman), said that the only qualification Palin had for vice president was that she hadn't had an abortion. Tabloids are digging up dirt on Palin's children. And liberal bloggers have suggested that Palin would neglect her children if she were elected (while the Democratic candidate has young children at home, too).

That liberals would resort to such blatant sexism shows their desperation.

But the Fox News poll of Sept. 8-9 indicates a deeper reality of Palin's popularity. On the question of which of the four candidates best understands what day-to-day life is like in America, Palin finished first, with 33 percent. (Obama drew 32 percent, McCain 17 percent and Biden 10 percent.)

She's not popular because she's a radical feminist or pro-choice advocate. It's because she understands what it's like to be a woman in 21st century America.

She's never ascended to the elite, so she doesn't need to stoop to conquer as most well-heeled feminist leaders must. She lives far from the plastic pseudoreality where a fossilized ideology substitutes for human compassion and empathy. As such, she rises above the slogans of both the left and the right and proposes to bring to Washington a dose of reality - a taste of real life.

She may become the first woman in national office - yet the Democrats, feminists and liberals can't control her, and that burns them up.

Elections come and go, but Palin is a far more fundamental threat to the Democratic Party. And that's why they fear her so.

A Few More Things . . . .
For the record, Rolo, responsibility for Congressional oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac belongs to none other than Barney Frank, a DEMOCREEP representative from Massachusetts.

Also for the record, Jim Johnson, a former economic coach of BARACK HUSSEIN UBUMYA, was also a director of Fannie Mae.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac also contributed $85,000 to BARACK HUSSEIN UBUMYA'S campaign. (How Fannie and Freddie undoubtedly wish they had that money now!)

Finally, Robert Rubin and Jamie Gorelick--the Treasury Secretary and Deputy Attorney General, respectively, in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION--were the public officials who relaxed lending regulations--including those governing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac--and PROFITEERED as a result.

People whose idols live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

What Really Caused It?
heavydoug scrawls left-handed with his pink crayon on yellow paper:

"Foreclosures 1.25 mil

"Unemployment 6.1%

"Jobless Claims 444,000

"Inflation 5.6%

"Consumer Price Index 5.5%

"Banks Closed 10

"Fannie and Freddie Seized"

A couple of points to add to the one on top of your fat head, Rolo.

First of all, any third-grader can rattle off a bunch of statistics--or even make them up. That doesn't take any intelligence.

Second, I can remember much rougher times in America than what we're facing now. Take, for example, the late 1970s, when Jimmy Carter was in the White House and your Democreeps controlled both houses of Congress.

You're upset about 6.1% unemployment? When Carter was thrown out of Washington in 1981, the unemployment rate was TEN PERCENT.

You're upset about a 5.6% inflation rate? When we threw Carter out of the White House in 1981, the inflation rate was THIRTEEN PERCENT.

You didn't even mention the current prime lending rate (which for the record is about two percent.) When we got rid of Carter in 1981, the prime lending rate was TWENTY percent.

And those who are old enough to remember the Great Depression (I'm not) can cite even more alarming numbers than this. Try an unemployment rate of THIRTY-FIVE percent on for size!

A little friendly advice for you, Rolo: If you want to copy statistics, fine. If you want to make them up out of thin air, fine. Like I said, any third-grader can do that. But if you REALLY want to demonstrate something remotely resembling intelligence, then go through all the numbers you posted--line by line, item by item--and tell us exactly which policies of the Bush Administration and/or the Republican Congresses of 2003-07 ACTUALLY CAUSED THEM.

And explain them in your own words. Don't fall back on your tired and lame strategy of posting links to left-wing blogs or YouTube.
