Will Sarah Palin make a run at the GOP Nomination in 2012?

Barack Obama said the furor over his comments about a pig in lipstick was a “made up controversy by the John McCain campaign.”

On the stump Tuesday, Obama bashed the Republican ticket by saying “You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.” His supporters cheered, instantly drawing a connection between Obama’s jab and a line Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said at the Republican National Convention about the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull (lipstick.)

The GOP immediately deemed Obama’s comments “disgraceful” and demanded an apology. McCain campaign officials also created an Internet ad drawing attention to what they consider Obama’s sexist comments.

Obama was unapologetic Wednesday morning. He called the controversy “catnip for the media” that’s nothing more than a “phony and foolish diversion.”

Subject: Who Would You Trust With Nat'l
Dear Greyhawk, very nice However I must correct you. Governor Palin, is commander of the Alaskan National Guard. She has NO, I repeat "No Authority" on any active military installation only the commander of the missile defense on orders from a higher command to initiate any combat actions on any unauthorized airborne object. Not The Governor of Alaska. This is how the system works. Active duty Military bases under the command of the Commander in Chief (President). National Guard (States/governors). On another note after viewing her interview with Charles Gibson (ABCnews) She could not even hit the snow-ball questions that were given to her. Makes me feel real comfortable with her as the No.2 on the Republican ticket. I think I like The No.2 selection on the Democratic Ticket more. At least he knows Foreign Policy. But hey there's still hope for her and all Republicans, her interview with Sean Hannity, is next and maybe she can read the answers before he ask the questions. LOL!!!

Lipstick debate
Probably, to be fair, Obama didn't aim his "lipstick" comments at Sarah Palin. But since he brings up the example of pigs with lipstick. I'd like to remind us all of another old southern saying: "Never buy a pig in a poke." We surely don't know what we'd be getting with Obama in the White House!
