While much of the attention over the last several months has been on the GOP primary pitting former President Donald Trump against his previous running mate and VP, one of the most popular governors in the country, his UN ambassador, and a handful of other conservative firebrands who've defended him in the past, the contest is over. Former President Donald Trump will be the Republican Party's nominee for president and be officially crowned in Milwaukee in less than six months.

Now that Donald Trump has the GOP nomination locked up, conservatives are waiting to see who he will select as his new running mate. There has already been a lot of speculation. Will it be former GOP primary opponent and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott? Or potential heir apparent Florida Governor Ron DeSantis? Could Trump ask Nikki Haley to join him on the presidential ticket to help unify the party? Will the former president select a running mate that will help him win a key swing state, or will other factors play into his decision?

There will undoubtedly be polls asking Republicans who they believe should be Trump's pick, and Townhall will continue to report on what these surveys find, but we want to know what our loyal conservative readers think.

To give our readers a chance to make their voices heard, Townhall is launching its 2024 GOP Veepstakes Poll to take a pulse of real conservatives and see which vice presidential hopefuls rise and fall as former President Trump vets his potential running mates.

Townhall readers and our loyal VIP members are engaged, informed, and passionate about America's future and ensuring it is one in which freedom and opportunity are thriving. They're a core part of the Republican Party's conservative base, which has shown to have significant sway over the decisions of party leaders.

Our nation is in decline under Biden, whose weaponized administrative state continues to protect Democrats while pursuing punishment for conservatives. It's more important now than ever for the former president to select a running mate who will fight just like him to take back the White House and save our great country from the radical left.

Until President Trump makes his anticipated announcement — Townhall will ask our loyal readers to vote for their choice for vice president (one vote per person per 30 days). When you cast your vote, you'll get an email with the up-to-the-minute results.
