Bloomberg:
The non-profit organization that partially owns a 36-story tower at 650 Fifth Avenue is a front for the government of Iran, according to a complaint filed yesterday by the U.S. government. The group, called the Alavi Foundation, also owns four U.S. mosques and has been funneling money back to the Iranian government, the complaint said. The government is looking to seize all of those properties, though they will remain open as the case moves through court. Tenants at 650 Fifth Avenue include Citigroup, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and a Juicy Couture retail store, Bloomberg reported.
