Whoopsie Daisies! -- Biden Nearly Announces Presidential Campaign Mid-Speech

Whoopsie Daisies! -- Biden Nearly Announces Presidential Campaign Mid-Speech

Diamond Joe, you sly dog! You've gone and gaffed it up again!  Former Vice President Joe Biden has a penchant for ill-timed remarks, but this time the potential 2020 Democratic candidate nearly announced his presidential candidate midspeech yesterday while trying to prove his progressive bona fides to the "New Left."

"I'm told I get criticized by the New Left.  I have the most progressive record of anybody running for the...anybody who would run" Biden said at the Delaware Democratic Dinner in Dover, Delaware, before realizing what he just uttered. The crowd began to clap and cheer, Biden paused and said: "I didn't mean it..." The Roman Catholic then blessed himself before reemphasizing he meant  "of anybody who would run!" But still, the crowd continued and gave Biden a standing ovation.

This sort of verbal miscue is nothing new for the longtime politician. In fact, his gaffes are so bad, Democratic operatives believed in 2016 that his yips could seriously affect his chances at the executive office. CNN even ran the following segment on it.

However, here's an even better compilation of just some of Biden's gaffes set to the tune of NBC's "The Office" theme song.

As for what sort of campaign Biden could potentially run, Democratic colleague Sen. Chris Coons said this morning, that if and when he enters the race, that he'll  run "a very forward-looking and optimistic campaign where he tries to heal the divisions in our country."
