With just three weeks before the November election, things are starting to look good for a second former President Donald Trump term— but spelling bad news for Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to a new NBC News poll, the 2024 race is now tied at 48 percent, with Trump pulling ahead by five percentage points. The survey also found that more Americans viewed the Trump Administration more favorably than the Biden Administration. Compared to the same September poll, Trump only had 44 percent support, and Harris had 49 percent.
Harris, who saw a significant boost in approval ratings following President Joe Biden’s exit from the race, is now hemorrhaging votes as Americans shift away from her campaign.
“As summer has turned to fall, any signs of momentum for Kamala Harris have stopped,” Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt said. “The race is a dead heat.”

A recent CBS News/YouGov poll found Harris in the lead against Trump nationally by 51 to 48 percent. Among the key seven battleground states, she averaged 50 to 49 percent.

Harris is losing momentum among voters significantly, as experts say she needs a six-point lead to win the election.
Political journalist Mark Halperin said there are “a lot of really worried Democrats, and there are really no worried Republicans, including at Mar-a-Lago.”
The stakes for the election are high, with most voters believing that the presidential election will make “a great deal of difference” in their lives.
In addition, the NBC News poll found that only 43 percent of Americans view Harris positively, while 49 percent view her negatively.
On the other hand, Trump takes the lead on critical issues most important to voters, such as the economy, inflation, immigration, and handling the conflict in the Middle East.
