Jen Psaki Sure Has a Habit of Gaslighting on the Woke LGBTQ+ Causes She Furthers

Townhall Media

Jen Psaki has had her show on MSNBC since 2023, though she's continued on with her leftist political crusades for far longer, especially as the first White House press secretary during the Biden-Harris administration. Earlier this week, she ranted about her obsession over LGBTQ+ woke issues, specifically to do with boys playing in girls' sports, which has been a larger issue for the Democratic Party, especially when it comes to their 2024 losses. As it turns out, Psaki has gone on such a rant before.

Earlier this week, Psaki claimed during "Inside with Jen Psaki" that Democrats should actually double down on dismissing concerns about boys competing against girls, even with the unfair advantages that they do have, which Psaki and other radical leftist commentators denied even exist.

"There’s obviously a lot of soul searching right now going on within the Democratic Party and that’s a good thing. But what I worry about is that in the course of all that soul-searching, some Democrats might reach the wrong sweeping conclusions. And there are a lot of issues that fall into that bucket," Psaki mentioned, which is laughable, given that if Democrats really were going to do some "soul searching," they'd realize that they are wrong on the issue.

"But one in particular that stuck out to me is transgender rights," Psaki continued. "Republicans spend hundreds of millions of dollars on anti-trans ads this election cycle, including one that showed Vice President Harris talking about government funding for gender reaffirming care for prisoners and detainees." She tried to dismiss it as "a particularly obscure issue," and one that "applies to a tiny group of people," and blaming on the first Trump administration, though that offers zero excuse for Harris.

She then went on to mock concerns about boys participating in girls' sports. "Another one of the lines that ran over and over again in those ads and throughout right-wing media is this idea that America is faced with a crisis of boys playing in girls sports," claiming that it's "completely false" that "the issues of trans kids playing sports was dominating schools across the country."

Psaki has always had an issue with communicating her views, especially as the White House press secretary. But try dismissing such concerns to the parents of young women who were shut out from medals and scholarships due to biological boys and men.

According to the United Nations, there's nearly 900 medals that female athletes have lost out on, hanks to biological boys competing in their sports.

Psaki chose to go after one those whose Democrats who has likely done the right "soul searching," Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, who has dared to acknowledge the truth on the issue, which includes admitting how "Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face. I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete." He went on to acknowledge, "But as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that."

Moutlon has continued to double down on his remarks, including on MSNBC, as Psaki played a clip of.

"I was just speaking authentically as a dad about one of many issues where I think we’re just out of touch with the majority of voters. And I stand my by my position. You know maybe I didn’t get all the words exactly right, but the point is that the backlash I’ve received proves my point that we can’t even have these discussions as a party," he offered.

"Look, reflection is good," Psaki offered after playing such a clip, but then continued to double down on dismissing concerns about boys competing in girls' sports, adding, "but if that were actually an issue at thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate."

Psaki went on to make perhaps her most ridiculous point, which is all part of downplaying the issue at hand. "But there are just incredibly few examples of transgender girls playing in youth sports. And when we see those examples, there isn’t evidence that these kids are a threat to safety or fairness," she claimed, despite how boys obviously have an advantage over girls as a matter of basic biology. Then again, that's not exactly Democrats' strong suit, given how they can't even define what a woman is.

She also went on to lecture her fellow Democrats that it's "it’s important not to yield to manufactured panic and to align with the actual facts before making sweeping claims. Echoing and adopting the panic from the other side is not leading, it’s not meeting people where they are, it’s simply falling prey to right-wing propaganda without checking the facts first."

In posting the segment herself, Psaki focused on how "Banning trans youth from sports... is simply falling prey to right wing propaganda, without checking the facts first."

But again, the facts just aren't on Psaki's side. And again, it's the UN backing up such concerns, which is hardly an agency churning out "right wing propaganda."

It's worth reminding that Psaki's former boss, President Joe Biden, also completely distorted Title IX to include "gender identity," thus completely upending protections for girls and young women. Republican states immediately brought lawsuits, and the House of Representatives voted to overturn such a rewrite.

It's not just Psaki's sense of elitism and rejection of basic biology that isn't anything new from her now that she's a television host. As we covered at the time in April 2022, Psaki made quite the rounds of media appearances to cry about LGBTQ+ issues, especially as they apply to children. This involved lying to Chris Wallace, then with CNN, about sex education in schools, especially a parental rights in education bill that had just recently been signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Worse, she even cried about children being protected from medical procedures under the guise of "gender-affirming care" that may involve not just hormone therapy and puberty blockers, but also sterilization and genital mutilation.

There are plenty of examples of how Democrats handled the woke LGBTQ+ issues, which even The New York Times admitted helped Republicans win, was very much a losing issue for the party, as Democratic Rep. Colin Allred found out in his loss to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz for that U.S. Senate race out of Texas. The same goes for soon to be former Sen. Sherrod Brown, who lost to Republican Sen.-elect Bernie Moreno in Ohio's U.S. Senate race.

As long as Democrats continue to be in disarray about this issue, one where a majority of Americans feel a certain way, they're likely to keep losing. Bonchie had a particularly fitting write-up on the issue for our sister site of RedState. 2028 isn't that far away, and the 2026 midterms are looming even closer.
