Environmentalists Encourage Dems Not to Waste A Good Crisis

Just as the economic downturn gave Democrats reason to pursue their big-government spending agenda (which Americans now see for what it was all along), environmentalists are urging President Obama and congressional Democrats to capitalize on the Gulf Coast oil spill catastrophe.

Yesterday we pointed out how MoveOn.org was using images of the oil rig explosion that killed 11 Americans to campaign against oil.  Now, groups like the Natural Resource Defense Council in Washington are telling the president to come up with a policy "response which is as big as the spill is."

Luckily for the enviros, Nancy Pelosi never misses a beat.
