Most Transparent White House EVER
To accommodate a gay rights protest today near the White House, police chased reporters away.  As a small group of military veterans handcuffed themselves to the White House gates to protest Don't Ask, Don't Tell, police shooed reporters away in an unprecedented rebuff of the press.

Politico's Ben Smith reports that people who have covered the White House for years say this is an extremely unusual thing to do in an area that regularly features protests:
