Official: Kucinich Has a Price

As many of us predicted, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, announced his flip-flopped support for President Obama's health care overhaul proposal this morning during a 10:00am presser.

As you may recall, far-leftist Kucinich cast a 'no' vote against the House's version of Obamacare last November.  Kucinich, a proponent of a government-run single-payer system, voiced his opposition to the Senate bill prior to today, saying it wasn't liberal enough.  During this morning's presser, he acknowledged his prior opposition:

"I have doubts about the bill," Kucinich said. "This is not the bill I wanted to support. . . However, after careful discussions with President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, my wife Elizabeth and close friends, I’ve decided to cast a vote in favor of the legislation." (notice he doesn't mention his constituents...)

Coincidentally, following the death of Rep. John Murtha, there were just two staunch hold-outs opposed to the Senate bill and likely to join Republicans in voting against it on the Democrats' side in the House: Kucinich and Rep. Eric Massa.   Kucinich has been "palling around" on Air Force One this week with President Obama and, as we all now know, Massa has suddenly resigned following an outburst of misconduct charges.

Coincidence?  Most likely not.  Dems' opposition is crumbling under pressure from Reid, Pelosi and the Obama White House.  It's like a game of dominoes... Chicago-style.
