Report: Edwards Facing 'Imminent' Indictment for Affair Cover-Up

A federal grand jury is poised to indict former Sen. and vice presidential candidate John Edwards, D-N.C., for his use of campaign funds to cover-up an extra-marital affair during his 2008 run for the presidency, according to the

National Enquirer.

Edwards last month admitted that he fathered a child with Rielle Hunter during the affair and has been under investigation by the feds for months over whether he improperly used campaign funds to cover the scandal up.  The Enquirer reports Edwards doesn't believe he did anything wrong, but quotes a friend of the former Senator who says he is "terrified."

In another twist, The Hill reports that Elizabeth Edwards may actually be called to testify against her estranged husband.
