Bob Dole Hospitalized

Former Sen. Bob Dole, R-Kan., is currently being held at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington after undergoing surgery on his knee and battling off a bout with pneumonia.

“Thanks to the great doctors and nurses at Walter Reed, I am making great strides, working between sessions and hope to be fully recovered and back at the office in a few weeks,” Dole told Politico.

The former Senator says he intends to return to work just as soon as he can walk again.
