News is also out from Norway that the President will be traveling to Oslo in December to officially accept the award.
If you're not convinced the Nobel Prize Committee has now lost all credibility, consider this scene from just five months ago:
President Obama was invited by Arizona State University to deliver the commencement address during the May 13 graduation ceremony. But unlike usual, as the commencement speaker at this event, Obama would NOT be granted an honorary degree. Why?
Wow. ASU wasn't going to award Obama an honorary degree unless he accomplished something? They must be racists."It's our practice to recognize an individual for his body of work, somebody who's been in their position for a long time," Sharon Keeler, an ASU spokeswoman, told The Associated Press. "His body of work is yet to come. That's why we're not recognizing him with a degree at the beginning of his presidency... It's someone who's really outstanding, who has made outstanding contributions in their field," Keeler said.
Meanwhile, the Nobel Prize committee had lower expectations and standards for accomplishment in rewarding one of the most prestigious awards IN THE WORLD.
