Birthers, Truthers, Bushers?

Yet another Democrat blaming former President Bush for Chicago's failed Olympic bid:

"I believe that [Friday]'s action is just the latest example of the cultural breach that still exists between the United States and several leaders of the global community of nations," Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush (D) said in a statement Friday.

"[Friday]'s vote by the IOC members reflects the tattered relationships that remain after eight years of the catastrophic reign of the Bush administration, " he continued.  "It will obviously take some time for the Obama administration to continue its important work to repair that breach."

Gee... when I think of "reign," my mind conjures up images of someone like Nero, the Roman Emperor who murdered his own mother and tortured and slaughtered Christians during his "reign."  And to call Bush a "catastrophic reign"?  Am I the only one who thinks Rep. Rush's analysis is catastrophically misguided?

In addition, why would you ever want to defend leaders of other countries who could be so juvenile as to hold a grudge against one man and deny and entire country the Games out of spite?  But this kind of pettiness is becoming more and more frequent from the Democratic Party as it continues to decline, despite holding majorities in both chambers of Congress and the oval office.  Give us a break.
