Shocker: News Media Are Leaving Out a Critical Detail Concerning US-Based Wuhan Coronavirus Deaths

It’s was a brutal weekend, with 2,000 Americans dying from the Wuhan coronavirus in a single day. Right now, we have over 550,000 cases and over 22,000 have been killed by this disease. It’s highly contagious. In some, it viciously attacks the respiratory system. It’s a pneumonia-like virus that Chinese scientists discovered back in December but were ordered by government officials to destroy their samples. China’s appalling incompetence in containment led to this pandemic. They lied to the World Health Organization, which is in China’s back pocket, about there not being human-to-human transmission in January.

And yet, as the U.S. surpasses the 20,000-mark, which is horrible, are we really now number one in deaths from this virus? No. Not by a long shot. For all the media’s advocacy about listening to the experts and the larger intelligence community, something they did from the Russia-Trump collusion myth-peddling days, the liberal media seemed to have forgotten the report from said IC that China has grossly underreported the number of cases and deaths they’ve had. It’s a joke. Of course, there are scores more dead in China. On what Earth are we trusting a secretive, paranoid authoritarian regime to truthfully release accurate numbers. China now says that they haven’t experienced any more deaths from the Wuhan virus. That’s a total and complete lie.

The one word you need to look out for or hear is “confirmed” because the Chinese numbers are garbage. ABC News was the only network that did it. Others decided to just peddle a false narrative. Over 20,000 deaths from this virus is appalling, but we’re not leading the world in fatalities. That’s buried in China, or shall we say the true number has been incinerated. We may never know for quite some time how many confirmed deaths China suffered  from this disease (via Newsbusters):

ABC was the only one of the three networks to even specify that the number of deaths was the "confirmed" number as Tom Llamas teased World News Tonight: "Tonight, the grim milestone. As we come on, America now the deadliest nation in confirmed coronavirus cases. More than 20,000 have died from COVID-19, the U.S surpassing Italy."

[…]

On the NBC Nightly News, Saturday anchor Jose Diaz Balart similarly claimed: "Breaking tonight, the devastating toll of the coronavirus -- 2,000 Americans killed in one day -- more people have died now in the U.S. than any other country....The U.S. reached a new grim milestone today -- more than 20,000 Americans dead by the virus, now the highest death toll in the world."

[…]

As of Sunday, April 12, the per capita number of deaths in the U.S. stands at 6.61 deaths per 100,000 residents, in contrast with the United Kingdom where the per capita rate comes to 15.84 and, in France, where it is 21.48. The total number of deaths officially linked to COVID-19 in the U.K. and France are currently 10,612 and 14,393, respectively, and each of those countries has a population of about 67 million residents.

Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands currently have per capita death rates substantially higher than the U.S., while the rates are slightly higher in Sweden and Ireland.

It’s bad. It’s serious, but again, we don’t have the highest death toll in the world. That’s peddling Chinese propaganda.
