Anti-abortion bills are being debated and passed across the country. In Missouri, Alabama, and Georgia, the grisly procedure that many see as murder (they’re not wrong) is being outlawed. Doctors face up to 99 years in jail in Alabama. It’s caused a meltdown on the Left. The Handmaiden’s Tale comparisons are about to be rehashed. Things could get out of control and it’s not just left-wingers. Even Pat Robertson said that the Alabama bill goes too far. Even Trump isn’t on board with all of it. The goal is to get these cases before the Supreme Court in an effort to overturn Roe v. Wade, yet I don’t think that’s a sure thing. To the Left’s surprise, Justice Kavanaugh might not even vote to hear arguments. It’s too early to judge, though some are not happy with his latest decisions, siding with the liberal wing.

With such news, you bet the rabble-rousers on the Hill are getting in on this, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who decided to use the abortion battle to plug her Green New Deal. She tried to shame the GOP for its pro-life advocacy, calling them out on it since they’re not supporting her green energy agenda that will save lives, except that it won’t.  Oh, and in keeping with progressive attack lines, had to get in the “far-right Christian theocracy” jab.

Oh, and if the GOP cared about babies, especially those from families of color, they would back her Green New Deal.
