Michael Avenatti. How do we know his name? Well, it’s because you were a bombastic anti-Trump lawyer who represented former adult actress Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with Trump back in the early 2000s, in her defamation suit. She was eventually ordered to pay Trump’s $290,000+ legal bill. Then, he represented Julie Swetnick, one of Brett Kavanaugh’s accusers, who had the outrageous claim that the then-Supreme Court nominee was part of a gang rape ring in high school. No one believed this trash allegation. It simply defied reality and then Swetnick pretty much backtracked it. Like the two other accusations lobbed against Kavanaugh, which by all means we're part of a politically motivated character assassination campaign by Democrats, there was no corroborating witnesses and no evidence.
Just some allegation that was given credence by the Left’s ‘believe all women’ no matter what idiocy, which is further buoyed by the Left’s allies in the media. Kavanaugh was confirmed. In Avenatti’s crusade against the Trump White House, he’s lost. In fact, he’s lost a lot. He’s late on child support payments; he was booted from his law offices for not paying the rent for months, and he owes a colleague at his law firm millions in a separate judgment. And now, he tried to extort Nike for $20+ million (via CNBC):
Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti was arrested Monday in New York City on charges of trying to extort up to $25 million from Nike by threatening to publicize claims that company employees authorized payments to the families of top high school basketball players.
Avenatti also was separately charged in a second federal case in Los Angeles with embezzling a client’s money “in order to pay his own expenses and debts” and those of his law firm and coffee company, and of “defrauding a bank in Mississippi,” prosecutors said.
He faces almost 100 years in prison if convicted in both cases as well as possible disbarment as a lawyer.
The famously aggressive litigator gained widespread notoriety in the past year for representing porn star Stormy Daniels in lawsuits against President Donald Trump and his former lawyer Michael Cohen. Those cases were related to a nondisclosure agreement she signed on the eve of the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump in exchange for a $130,000 payment.

So, again, why do we know this guy’s name? There are a lot of anti-Trump folks out there. Oh right, the media gave him the platform to become a household name. The Daily Caller compiled his greatest hits, where he said Trump wouldn’t serve his full term, to being buddy-buddy with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, and other endless media hits solely based on his anti-Trump antics. The man is a clown. The best is the meteoric rise and epic fall, doing the frog march after being slapped with federal charges. Oh, have the mighty have fallen. Remember, this joker was also considered a 2020 prospect. What was tremendous was Donald Trump, Jr. taking Avenatti to the woodshed over his arrest.
