Onward: Trump’s AG Nominee Crosses First Hurdle To Confirmation on Party-Line Vote

We have blackface admission and a sexual assault allegation taking down Democrats in Virginia. We had the State of the Union, where the Democrats sat and seethed…again. So, the nomination of William Barr for U.S. Attorney General fell through the cracks. After hearings where Barr was asked about the DOJ’s role and the Russia investigation, his path to confirmation just got easier. The Senate Judiciary Committee recommended him, though on a party –line 12-10 vote. Still, the GOP has the majority in the Senate, which means he’ll likely be confirmed. Jeff Flake is gone and can’t cause any more problems.
