Will Jim Acosta’s Book Be Called ‘The Many Times I Got Towel Slapped By Trump’?

This was bound to happen after the many confrontations he’s had with the Trump White House. CNN’s Jim Acosta is penning a book about the president’s ongoing war with the liberal media establishment. This book will be released in June. The material for it had been gathered since the 2016 election, according to CNN:

CNN's chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta is authoring a book about the Trump administration and its battles with the news media.

The Harper imprint of HarperCollins Publishers announced the book on Thursday morning. Harper says Acosta will share "never-before-revealed stories of this White House's rejection of truth, while laying out the stakes for how Trump's hostility toward facts poses an unprecedented threat to our democracy."

The book's title is "The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America."

Acosta started to gather material for a possible book during the 2016 presidential campaign, and he signed the book deal with Harper last fall, before the 2018 midterm elections.

That means that the book was in the works well before Trump singled out Acosta and banned him from the White House grounds the day after the midterms. CNN and Acosta challenged the administration's action and won a temporary restraining order from a federal judge. The White House then reinstated Acosta's press pass.

"The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America”…so, it’s really ‘Thank God for Me,” by Jim Acosta. I’m sure all the greatest hits will be included, like Jim Acosta having his press credentials revoked, albeit briefly, and how this is somehow akin to Soviet Russia; Acosta wasn’t barred from the press room, by the way. This occurred after the 2018 midterms, where the president ripped into the reporter during a post-midterms press conference.

“CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person; you shouldn't be working for CNN,” Trump told Acosta.

There was also the time President Trump told him to get out of the Oval Office; Trump had supposedly referred to some countries as “s**tholes,’ which sent the media into an anti-Trump hysteria that lasted for days. And this wouldn’t be the first time White House staff told Acosta to more or less to get the hell out of the Oval Office. Recently, Acosta fell victim to an epic self-own, where he noticed that there was no illegal immigrant activity near part of a border barrier. Thanks, Jim. You just proved that walls work.

It’ll all be detailed I’m sure. I think The Hill’s Joe Concha aptly described Acosta; he’s not a reporter, but a 40-year-old member of his high school’s debate team.

Remember this is the network that couldn’t report on koi fish feeding accurately or read email time stamps properly, and both of those stories were aimed to strike at the Trump White House. Both turned out to be fake news.
