Boom: Trump Takes One Last Swipe At Outgoing Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes

President Trump decided to take one last swipe at outgoing Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes. The embattled county official has been once again trashed for her gross incompetence in her handling of Florida’s 2018 elections. Senator-elect Rick Scott had to haul her into court, filing a lawsuit over her shoddy ballot counting procedures. Snipes wasn’t giving a count on how many outstanding ballots remained, as required by law. She mixed in rejected provisional ballots with good ones and wasn’t able to complete the mandatory machine recount in time.

It’s part of a long history of mismanagement that has persisted in one of the most Democratic counties in the state of Florida. Snipes, along with Susan Bucher, Palm Beach County’s election supervisor who was equally incompetent over the course of these elections, were both accused of trying to steal the election for Democrats. Ms. Snipes has tendered her resignation, but if that means she’s free from being a target of Donald Trump’s Twitter feed, think again.

“Brenda Snipes, in charge of voting in Broward County, Florida, was just spotted wearing a beautiful dress with 300 I VOTED signs on it,” Trump tweeted last night. “Just kidding, she is a fine, very honorable and highly respected voting tactician!”

This is why his presidency is so much fun. This is fantastic. I’m sorry. It’s hilarious and well deserved. What’s best about Snipes is how she got the job. Her successor was removed by then-Gov. Jeb Bush for…mismanagement. You can’t make this stuff up. Snipes remained at the helm in Broward for its elections for 15 years.
