Watch: Dallas Residents Hug And Thank Their Police

Katie wrote about how Black Lives Matter and counter protestors came together in Dallas in the aftermath of the horrific attack on police that left five officers dead. Protestors from both camps were set up across the street from one another when they decided to join forces for the day and pray together.

Now, we have residents hugging police, thanking them for their service. In the video, one resident wanted to thank an officer, which turned into one hug after another by grateful Dallasites.

“Anything we can do, let us know,” said one woman.

“Thank you for everything you do,” said another.

UPDATE: More residents lined up to thank Dallas' finest from all backgrounds.
