Barack Obama: Promise Keeper?

I was on Fox News yesterday, discussing whether or not Barack Obama would be able to keep his campaign promises (which, if added up, would equal about $2 trillion in spending). Perhaps the most notable part of the discussion was Kirsten Powers' contention that voters never

really expected Obama to actually keep his promises...

In fairness, I think we all hope Obama does not keep most of his promises.

Still, the notion a candidate could promise the moon during a campaign -- and then backtrack before even being sworn-in -- is a bit disturbing ...
