Boehner Ditches Incumbent Cole, Backs Pete Sessions for NRCC Chair

Roll Call reports that Minority Leader John Boehner is endorsing Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) for Chairman or the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC)

By backing Sessions, Boehner deals a heavy blow to the incumbent NRCC Chair, Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK). Cole is running for re-election to his post, but it will be interesting to see how much support he gets now that he is running against the wishes of the Minority Leader.
