Obama Failing to Change the Map

Obama recently stopped running ads in Georgia, and moved most of his field staff north to North Carolina.  My guess is this will eventually be repeated in states like North Dakota and even Virginia.

Obama may win Colorado (a Bush state) and McCain may win a former Kerry state like New Hampshire, but at the end of the day, this election will probably come down to traditional battleground states like Michigan and Ohio.

When they write the post mortem on this campaign, it will likely be noted that Obama wasted precious time and money campaigning in states he could not win.  The reason, of course, will be ascribed to hubris...
