Today, Obama is campaigning in Missouri, so bloggers were treated to Governor Matt Blunt. Here's the money quote from today's call:

"Now is not the time to adopt the policies of Herbert Hoover -- of protectionism and higher taxes ..."A lot of people don't realize that Hoover raised taxes (more than doubling tax rates on the wealthy) -- and signed the Smoot-Hawley act (a tarriff), which, of course, only hurt the already suffering economy.
Blunt also described Obama's economic plan as, "... change we cannot afford."
