With all the attention on Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, what's it like being a Republican tonight?  Considering, Mike Huckabee has little chance of upsetting

John McCain in either Texas or Ohio tonight, you might think it would be boring.

Sure, it would be awesome if tonight were about Republicans.  If things had gone a bit differently, I'm sure this blog would be buzzing tonight, and the commenters would be out in full-force debating whether Huckabee, Romney, or McCain would win...

Still, I must confess, it's quite fun to be a political junkie who can simply watch the gamesmanship, without getting all emotionally involved in it.

It's sort of like when your favorite football team has already clinched a playoff berth (or is out of contention), and, without the emotional baggage associated with rooting for your favorite team, you can simply enjoy watching two teams battle it out.

Me, I'm rooting for the under-dog.  When none of my "teams" are playing, that's what I  always do ...
