Hypocrisy at the Times?

I just made this point on MSNBC, but I thought it was worth repeating:  If Bob Novak or George Will had made an accusation as serious as this -- with such flimsy sources -- they would be called on the carpet.

Again, it's possible that, like the Abramoff scandal, this may be the first of several stories to come out.  If not, it's out of line.

At the end of the day, this is what the New York Times Story said:

"Someone who once worked for the campaign (but won't give us his name) told the Times he believed McCain had an affair."
