Congratulations to Andy Harris, who won the GOP primary in Maryland's First Congressional District against liberal Republican incumbent Wayne Gilchrest. Also in order, are kudos for the

Club for Growth -- who backed Harris.

This was a big win for conservative Harris. Despite being probably the most liberal Republican in Congress, Gilchrest was endorsed by heavy-hitters such as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Maryland Lt. Gov., Michael Steele.
