So Christian Ferry Wasn't Even Close to Florida ...

If you read this blog, you probably know I'm a huge fan of Jonathan Martin's blog at Politico.  No doubt about it, he's one of the best in the business -- and if you want to know what's happening on the ground in the states, his is one of the few blogs that are

But even the best sometimes make mistakes.  In this case, it was quite humorous. I recently read in Jonathan's blog that McCain's deputy manager Christian Ferry was running McCain's Florida ground operation.  ... So I called Christian, and after about ten minutes of pleasantries, I got around to asking him some pretty detailed questions about McCain's ground-game in Florida. 

... At which point, he informed me that he was, in fact, in DC, and that he wasn't running the Florida campaign.  I asked Christian for a quote, and he said:  "The lesson to learn from all of this is, 'Don't believe everything you read in Jonathan Martin's blog."  

Fair enough; from now on, I'm only believing 99 percent of what I read there.
