But even the best sometimes make mistakes. In this case, it was quite humorous. I recently read in Jonathan's blog that McCain's deputy manager Christian Ferry was running McCain's Florida ground operation. ... So I called Christian, and after about ten minutes of pleasantries, I got around to asking him some pretty detailed questions about McCain's ground-game in Florida.
... At which point, he informed me that he was, in fact, in DC, and that he wasn't running the Florida campaign. I asked Christian for a quote, and he said: "The lesson to learn from all of this is, 'Don't believe everything you read in Jonathan Martin's blog."
Fair enough; from now on, I'm only believing 99 percent of what I read there.
