McCain on Bill Clinton's Iraq Claim

In preparation for the debate tonight, I just got off the semi-weekly John McCain blogger call.

I asked Sen. McCain about Bill Clinton's claim that he had opposed the Iraq war all along.  McCain said this would lead to further examination of President Clinton's own record:

"What this is going to do is lead to examination of his mishandling of Osama bin Laden ..."

He went on to add that he was sure it was "pure coincidence" that Bill Clinton made this comment at this time ... "as Senator Obama closes in on Senator Clinton in Iowa."
